BSA Training Centre logo

BSA Training Centre is a skills development institution, that saw its existence as a direct response to the gap the directors of the centre had identified in challenges faced by individuals with skills that need nurturing, but lack academic qualification to permit them to enrol in higher institutions of learning. The centre is an extension of BSA Group of Companies (Mother Company) who began her operations in 2003, specialising in construction. The company later diversified its services from construction to; plumbing, welding, electrical and general maintenance. The latest addition to the company was the birth of BSA motors, which further inspired the directors of the centre to breathe its existence. The training centre provides individuals who have unpolished crude skills, with a training package that will give the learner a space to polish their crude skills. The learners will get certification and also be equipped with practical experience, which will see them immediately setting their own businesses after completing the course work. As a young and upcoming business, BSA Training Centre will make a concerted effort to build strong working relationships with institutions doing similar work.

Such institutions include; VOCTIM, MITC, Directorate of Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT). The Training Centre also explores opportunities for establishing student exchange programs with these institutions. The student exchange program will be such that BSA Training Centre provides attachment opportunities for students from the other institutions like, MITC, NASTIC, CODEC, Mpaka Vocational Centre, Siteki Industrial Skills Centre and VOCTIM. In exchange students from BSA will also visit the other institutions campuses for attachments and to familiarise themselves with the industry machinery and equipment. BSA Training Centre also forged partnership with DIVT, for the sole purposes of having the learners’ grade tested, to ensure that they are in full compliance with the existing requirement for student learning skills in the Kingdom.

BSA Uniqueness

Every year, (since 2013) BSA Training centre has enrolled students all over the country, who wish to pursue trade skills. This quality is what sets BSA apart from other many institutions- empowering Swazis with skills. Students at BSA Training Centre are exposed more to practical course work, as per the slogan – learn by doing. BSA Training Centre seeks to provide a platform to the less fortunate and aspiring students who for several reasons cannot be absorbed by general institutions of higher learning focusing on academic results more than trade skills possessed by the learners.
